If you use the 'Lightning' add-on for Thunderbird, you can configure automatic synchronization. Due to the technical limitations of Thunderbird, you have to synchronize each of your calendars (default calendar and other calendars) individually.

How to configure automatic synchronization of your mail.com default calendar with Mozilla Thunderbird

Lightning brings the Sunbird calendar to the popular email client, Mozilla Thunderbird. Since it's an extension, Lightning is tightly integrated with Thunderbird, allowing it to easily perform. Localizers should watch the calendar-l10n@mozilla.bugs mail address to stay current on bugs that might affect Lightning localizers, especially late in a release cycle. This can be done by adding this mail address to the 'User Watching' section of your Email preferences in bugzilla. Common calendar update issues for Thunderbird with the Lightning add-on and recommendations to deal with them. Grow and share your expertise with others. Info:

Mozilla Sunbird is a free calendar tool. With the help of this freeware you can keep a track of your important events, reminders, schedule and appointments. You can also create a to-do list by using this freeware. You can also keep a track of birthdays of your friends and relatives with the help of this freeware.

Thunderbird does not include its own calendar. In these instructions, we use the free Lightning add-on on a PC with Windows 7.

  1. Install the Lightning Thunderbird add-on and restart Thunderbird.
  2. Press Alt + D to open the File menu.
  3. In the New submenu, select Calendar.
  4. Select the On the Network option and then Next to continue.
  5. Select the CalDAV format.
  6. In the Location field, enter the path https://calendar.mail.com/begenda/dav/your mail.com e-mail address/calendar .
Calendar

Example: For the e-mail address john.doe@mail.com, you enter https://calendar.mail.com/begenda/dav/john.doe@mail.com/calendar/ as the location.

  1. Click Next.
  2. Give the mail.com Organizer a name and, if applicable, a color. Appointments from this calendar will later be displayed in the color. Click Next.
  3. Enter your mail.com e-mail address and password. Confirm by clickingOK.
  4. Complete setup by clicking Finish.
Your mail.com 'My Calendar' default calendar is now synchronized with Mozilla Thunderbird.
